Ace Combat 7 Mission 4 Walkthrough and Guide
Mission 4 is unlike any of the previous three missions. It’s not a combat mission; in fact, you will fail the mission if you use your weapons at all! The most important thing is that you stay out of range of enemy radar. You can do this avoiding the red areas marked on your HUD map.
You are essentially flying blind here. Mostly ignore the skies as you’ll be watching the radar to avoid hostile radar coverage. There is a fairly clear path through, just fly carefully. You will need to may some attention to your main screen though, as there are clouds that can leads to moisture on your windshield. Don’t pick up to much moisture as ice in this mission would be a real problem. Once you get through the Sky Keeper will let you know you’re on to the next part of the mission: rescuing former president Harling.
Save Harling
Now it’s time to shoot stuff! There is a lot of anti-air surrounding the space elevator. Blap them all to continue the mission.
You will receive audio updates once half of the SAM sites are down, and again when half of the AA guns are dead. Once they’re all dead, secure the drop zone.
The rescue craft will land as soon as the AA weapons are dead. All that’s left is to maintain air superiority. That’s easier said than done, as the enemy will scramble a large force of drones to take out the transport. As you take out the drones, the radio will update you on the ground. In the end, the rescue team is wiped out except for the last man left as well as President Harling. The two men are left to escape in a hostile transport.
Mother Goose 1
The hostile transport, codename Mother Goose 1, will need cover to escape. You will need protect the transport until it can escape, and there is a five minute timer counting you down. You’ll have to face the MQ-101 as well. The MQ-101 is an early prototype of the Arsenal Bird. Your job is to take out the drones launched from MQ-101, not try to kill the big bird itself. You’ll need to run out the clock, but things may not turn out well for the former president either way.
