With many ships to choose from and countless modular options for tricking them out, it should come as no surprise that many people are excited to mix and match their ship parts. However, that may be easier said than done. While you can modify your ship to your heart’s content (if you have the cash) you can’t transfer or sell parts directly. You Cannot Sell Ship Parts in Starfield
You have lots of options in Starfield, but stripping a ship for parts to sell is not one of them. As fun as this might be, its fair to say that adding this option in would probably break the economy.
You can’t sell the parts to your ship or even transfer them to another vessel. However, you are not left empty-handed in this situation. When you delete a part from your ship while doing modifications, you are given a credit that you can put toward the cost of whatever replacement part you choose. This isn’t the same as selling your ship parts, but it’s better than nothing.
