Why Feed Sommie in Fire Emblem Engage?

When you bring Sommie back to your farm in Somniel, you have the opportunity to interact with Sommie, including feeding or dressing up your new friend. Feeding Sommie is more than just for fun, however. Each time you feed Sommie, you have the chance to gain both Bond Fragments and Spirit Gems.

Sommie will eat anything, but he likes some food more than others. If he jumps and barks, it means he loves the food. If he only barks, it means Sommie likes it. Whimpering indicates Sommie doesn’t like whatever you are feeding them. This is important, as you will increase the bonding meter faster by feeding Sommie food he likes or loves.

Food Sommie Loves

There are quite a few foods Sommie loves. They include:

  • Apple
  • Beans
  • Grapes
  • Orange
  • Peach
  • Milk
  • Rare Fruit
  • Rare Vegetables

Food Sommie Likes

If Sommie likes a food, he will bark. There are as moony liked foods as loved foods. they include:

  • Berries
  • Cabbage
  • Carp
  • Herb
  • Potato
  • Tomato
  • Rice
  • What Flour

Food Sommie Doesn’t Like

Remember, Sommie will eat anything However, the food he doesn’t like is unlikely to get you the same rewards as you might if you feed him the good stuff. The food Sommie isn’t crazy about includes:

  • Onions
  • Nuts
  • Eggs
