Tears of the Kingdom: Should I Keep Master Sword?
The decayed master sword isn’t worth much when you find it at the beginning of the game. However, it will eventually serve as the best weapon available to you in the Tears of the Kingdom. So is it worth hanging on to? Let’s dive into our Tears of the Kingdom Should I Keep Master Sword Guide.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead
Why You Should Keep the Decayed Master Sword in Tears of the Kingdom
This is a bit of a trick question, unfortunately. While the decayed master sword is the first weapon you will pick up in the game, you won’t have the option to keep it for long. This is all part of the storyline, of course. Eventually, you will have the opportunity to obtain the compete master sword and move past your weapons constantly breaking into bits.
Finding the Master Sword
Eventually, you can turn the decayed master sword into the master sword. You can repair the master sword during the quest “Dragon’s Tear.” This occurs much later in the game, where you must discover each of the 11 hieroglyphs etched throughout Hyrule. When you view the 12th secret Tear of the Dragon located on the Rist Pennisula, you will learn the location of the sword.
