Death Stranding Chiral Crystals Guide
In the second episode of Death Stranding, you will need to collect several items called Chiral Crystals – it is a golden, hand-shaped crystal that can be found on the ground. These Chiral Crystals are used for a variety of task, which includes creating a variety of equipment and structures, power a floating carrier, and to power the autopaver. Unfortunately, you cannot pick them up right away. You will need to complete the following steps so you can obtain the Crystal Collector, which is necessary to harvest Chiral Crystals.
- In Chapter 2: Amelie, reach the Distribution Center West of Knot City.
- Connect the Distribution Center to the Chiral Network.
- Rest for the night.
- Wake up to accept [Order No. 8] Collection: Chiral Crystals.
- Obtain the Crystal Collector.
Once you have obtained the Crystal Collector, you will be prompted to return to the treacherous region that you just passed through to access the Distribution Center, just slightly south of the Waystation West of Capital Knot City. Once you have collected the specified amount of crystals, return to the Distribution Center so you can recycle them.
If you need more, the exact location of these items are different with each loading of Death Stranding. They are commonly found in rainy areas, along with the Beached Things. Beached Things are a powerful enemy that will take a lot to defeat. You can avoid them by holding your breath, crouching, or slowly moving away from them. A larger Beached Thing, which can be found later in the game, will drop Chiral Crystals after you have defeated them.
