Spoiler Alert! The following contains spoilers for the story of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Read on only if you’re alright with seeing some of the story.

The Lich Mythic Path in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

In order to unlock the Lich, you must first get to the Lost Chapter and help clear it with a group of crusaders. Search the basement and you’ll meet Zacharius, a legendary crusader hero. If you’ve completed the Leper’s Smile combat and obtained the wand, you can return it to Zacharius. You can alternatively fight him.

Fighting Zacharius is no easy feat. Come with Radiant weapons and prepare for the fight with Protection from Evil and Protection from Chaos. In addition, make sure your heavy hitters are fully prepared for the fight so you can burst him down quickly. Defeating him rewards you with the Dried Hand of Martyr, a +2 Charisma Headband, Amulet of Natural Armor +1, Ring of Protection +1, and a Cloak of Resistance +1.

Otherwise, you gain the Lich Mythic path. This path is legitimately crazy. You are a summoning god; you have a Skeletal champion which hangs out with you. You can revive enemies and allies alike. You’re extremely good at buffing undead that you summon… And you can become powerful enough to be worshipped and grant other people spell slots! That’s absolutely incredible! If you’re a summoner, these creatures will be so damn good at keeping you safe.

If that wasn’t enough, your spells are actually not bad at all. Most of them are aggressive, but you have spells like Restore Undead that fully heals all of your undead allies. Siphon Time works incredibly well as a round 1 option. Even low-level spells like Power from Death and Mastery of Flesh can work very well for you!

The Lich works well for any caster; Clerics and Wizards are especially rewarded for following this path, as it is extremely safe and heals for a lot.

It is almost always worth getting a Mythic Class over some basic magical items. Zacharius’s drops are honestly not even that good in the first place! The only reason you’d want to take him out is if your party vehemently opposes Liches and Undead… Which, admittedly, is probably a pretty good reason.

We hope this helps you understand the Lich’s role in a build and how to get it! If you need more clarification, please leave a comment and we can go further into detail!
