Path of the Giants (Barbarian)

The Path of the Giant has a – you guessed it – giant theme. It has a lot of interesting, thematic options, and you can deal some wild damage at higher levels. There are some drawbacks, and the subclass is heavily focused on the ability throw people – willingly or not.
At level three, you get one of the better utility options among the Barbarian class. You pick up the Giant language and get your choice of druidcraft and thaumaturgy cantrips. Also at level 3, you get some serious combat benefits including increased melee range and the addition of your rage damage bonus to strength-based range attacks. Seeing the theme here yet?
At higher levels, you can dish out even more damage. At 6th Level, elemental cleaver lets you add elemental damage to attacks with your rune-infused weapon. You also gain even more damage later on when you shift into either large or huge size.
All told, this has the makings of a very fun melee subclass. It is also a strong option when there is a second melee character in your party, as you will have the chance to hurl them into or out of danger. I can’t wait to give this a try.
