Coconuts are a common sight in Stranded Deep. You probably won’t be shocked to learn they are more than just for ambiance. The coconut can be crafted into a useful flask that can store your food and water. In fact, it is one of the more useful consumable items in the game. Read on below to learn how to craft them in our Coconut Flask Stranded Deep Guide.
Coconut Flask Stranded Deep Guide
Like with crafting any item in Stranded Deep, you will need some raw materials to fashion a coconut flask. Obviously, you need a coconut. But you’ll also need some lashing as well.
- 1x Coconut
- 1x Lashing
Coconuts can be found on the ground, but you will need to craft a lashing after cutting down yucca trees or palm saplings. Chopping down one tree will net you six leaves. You can cut trees down with stone tools, crude axes, refined axes, and refined knives.
In addition to crafting the flask, you may also find them. Spread throughout the map are Survivor Remains, which are structures that hold a number of items. You might find a Coconut flask in each of them. Coconuts do not respawn in Stranded Deep. However, you can go to the surrounding islands to find more. Ultimately you will not need that many of them.
Coconut Flask Uses
There are a few important uses for the Coconut Flask. First, you can use the flask to create medicine. These include the following:
- Antidote
- Aloe Salve
- Breath Boost
- Shark Repellent
In addition to medicinal uses, the Flask is also an important step in creating a water still. The water still is important in that it allows you to store water for later. A store of fresh water allows you to fight off dehydration. The recipe for the water still requires not only the flask, but also 3 rocks, 1 piece of lashing, 1 palm frond, and 1 piece of tarp as well.
