Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Blood and Water Walkthrough
Blood and Water is one of three quests assigned by Agapios on Euboea. As you close in on the leader of The Dagger, Agapios is horrified to discover records that suggest The Kingfisher is is brother – a brother he believed to be long dead. Agapios wants to clear his brother’s name, and you want answers. He then gives you three things to investigate. The Taxman Cometh requires that you talk to a farmer. Dagger to the Heart sends you to a theater known for spreading The Dagger’s propaganda. Finally, Blood and Water has you investigate the shipwreck. To begin Blood and Water, meet Agapios’ contact at the Eritrea Ruins.
Eritrea Ruins
When you reach the Eritrea Ruins you will find your contact, a former slave, standing alone while looking out to sea. Her paranoia is palpable when you make contact with her, and she asks repeatedly if you were followed. The quest will continue whether you tell her you can’t be sure or lie to her that you were absolutely not followed.
Your contact is terrified of The Dagger. She tells you that she was swept up in this when her master’s boat engaged The Dagger’s ship in battle. She tells you where to find the ship and asks you to return the items that sank with it, as it was something The Dagger desperately wants.
The Smuggler’s Shipwreck
Your contact points you to the shipwreck, a little ways off shore roughly 250 meters to the south of your current location. On the map, you see it as the only shipwreck in the cove near the Forgotten Ruins of Makius. On the shore, there is a small boat you can take out to the shipwreck. When you get close, send Ikaros to scout out the treasure chest underwater.
There is a shark swirling around the shipwreck, but if you are sneaky you can just swim past it and collect the treasure. If you want to take it out, your best bet is to make sure and identify it so you can see it when you’re above water. You can then simply stand on your boat and snipe it with arrows. Either way, once you find the sunken treasure chest you will discover a ceremonial dagger. Take the dagger back to your contact. Unfortunately, she is not alone.
Return to your Contact
To complete the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Blood and Water side quest, you will need to return to your contact. When you return to your contact, she is surrounded by three thugs questioning her about the dagger you just recovered. As you approach, one of the men asks about your interest in the ceremonial dagger. These are plainly thugs sent by The Dagger, so go ahead and shred them. There are typically five or six goons present, and depending on your level they are often a few levels below you. This is a straightforward fight, so dunk them however you like.
When you finish them off, return to the contact. She will explain that the dagger is used for blood sacrifices in the name of the god Achilles. She reasons that the Dagger must be devoted followers of Achilles, and that you will likely be able to find The Dagger at a temple dedicated to his worship. At the end of the quest, the former slave tells you that she only has the clothes on her back. You can give her 50 Drachmae or tell her to buzz off. You will need to return to Agapios for help in identifying the right temple of Achilles, but only after you complete The Taxman Cometh and Dagger to the Heart. The quest rewards for Blood and Water are Secretive Gauntlets and a chunk of XP.
