Dante, the legendary Devil Hunter. He may be a legend, but it seems there’s at least one demon who can still match him blow for blow. On a job for the mysterious V, Nero ventures into the depths of the underworld to aid Dante and take down some demons. There’s a twince in his phantom right arm…that’s crying out for a fight.
Devil May Cry 5 Prologue Walkthrough
The mission opens in the depths of the underworld, and you are playing as Nero. While Dante and V are there as well, they have already moved ahead of you in their quest to kill the demon that cost Nero his arm.
Once the mission starts, you will see the demon in the distance. Head along the path and you will catch up with V. Jump the wall in front of you and you will encounter your first baddie, the demonic insect Empusa.
Actually, there are a bunch of these bugs. They aren’t that tough; kill them all and the bridge made out of bones that was blocked will open up for you.
On the other side of the bridge you will encounter the airbone evil, Green Empusa which can bring back to life other evil insects. Kill them all, including a giant praying mantis thing to move on.
Follow the path upwards and clean up the demon bugs on the way. When you get to the top you’ll get a cut scene.
The Demon’s Throne Room
When you make it to the demon, you will see his is actually rooted into his seat. That doesn’t do you a lot of good, as his array of strength and powers thwarts you efforts to attack him. No one Dante is sprawled out on the floor when you arrive!
Things are looking grim, until Dante saves you. But his second round with the Demon King doesn’t go any better than the first. He holds the demon off until you and V can escape, but things look pretty bad as the prologue comes to a close.
