Enshrouded Padding Guide | How to Get It

Crafting is one of the basic necessities of succeeding at Enshrouded. You’ll need everything from health potions to armor, and having the necessary resources is the name of the game. One of the critical resources for many important armor recipes is padding. We’ll run down how to get padding and what it’s used for in our Enshrouded Padding Guide.

Enshrouded padding

What is Padding?

This basic ingredient is a staple in crafting in Enshrouded. The in-game definition for the resources is as follows:

A basic ingredient for all advanced armor. The padding added below the hard shell can create comfort and soften impacts. A loom is needed to craft both padding and advanced armor.

This blurb really doesn’t do padding justice. You’ll need padding for virtually every piece of armor you craft, even the heavier stuff used at advanced levels. That means you’ll want to master this recipe quickly and have your supplies in order.

You Can Craft Padding With The Help of the Hunter NPC

Unlike many of the resources you can find in Enshrouded, there is no way to collect or farm padding. This material can only be constructed, and you’re going to need to progress through the game some to be able to do so. You’ll only be able to craft padding after you’ve unlocked the recipe. Even then, you’ll need the help of the Hunter NPC to make the stuff. The recipe is as follows:

  • 2x Fabric
  • 1x Leather
  • 2x Resin
  • 3x Lenin

Just like with padding, you’ll need the Hunter’s help with many of these resources. You can get leather from the tanning station using the Hunter’s help, for example. Most of the resources needed for crafting padding will involve the Hunter in one way or another.

What Can I Do With Padding?

You can expect to need a great deal of padding as you advance through the game. Regardless of the type of player you have chosen, you’ll probably need padding for every type of armor set you have your eye on. A few of these sets include the the following recipes.

Soldier Helmet1x Padding

A finely crafted helmet, usually worn by the kingdom’s most feared warriors and generals.
