Palworld: Can You Have Multiple Bases?
At it’s core, Palworld is a survival game. That means building a base and gathering resources is critical, but are you only limited to one? In Palworld, you can build more than one base, but it might not be as simple as laying down a few new structures.
You Can Have Multiple Bases in Palworld
Yes, in Palworld you can have multiple bases. That said, it is important to have a clear picture of what a “base” actually is. You have countless structures you can build virtually anywhere on the map. In that way, you can have a little base of operations anywhere you like.
This might sound like a free-for-all, but the reality of base building is that it is about more than throwing up structures anywhere you like. The important distinction is that you cannot build multiple Palboxes – at least not at first.
You Are Limited in Building Palboxes
The Palbox is central to your base of operations. While you can drop structures in resource-rich areas, you can’t do much with them passively without a Palbox in place. At the start of the game, you can only have one Palbox. At this location, you can assign Pals to work in and around the structures you build, passively recovering resources for you.
In other words, a base without a Palbox is just a spot where you can grind for resources on your own. Compared to an automated setup relying on your little friends, this isn’t ideal.
At the start of the game, you can only have one Palbox. Thankfully, there is a system in place to build more. Once your current Palbox reaches level 10, you are able to place a second one in a new location. That means twice the resources! What’s more, this base starts at level 10, meaning you can assign a full complement of Pals without any grinding.
Moving Your Base
You also have the opportunity to move your base in Palworld. If you have an informal base without a Palbox, simply relocate any of your structures as you see fit. Moving your Palbox is also fairly easy. You only need to disassemble it, allowing you to build a new one elsewhere.
The good news is that when you relocate your Palbox, you don’t have to start over at Level 1. That means you keep the same level you had at the original location, and all of your Pals will come with you as well.
