Hogwarts Legacy: Should I Sell Gear?
When you dive into Hogwarts Legacy, you might be immediately struck by the sheer amount of gear you encounter. There is a bevy of spectacles, hats, scarves, and gloves from the beginning of the game onward. If you play for every long, you will also quickly notice you have limited space for all of this gear. Do we sell it or trash it? Let’s take a look with our Hogwarts Legacy Should I Sell Gear Guide.
Should I Sell Gear in Hogwarts Legacy?
There will inevitably come a time where you accumulate gear you no longer want. As you play further in the game, the gear will only get stronger. This will leave a number of your older items redundant and underpowered. In that situation, there is little reason to hold on to them – especially give the limits on your storage space. Once you have outgrown gear, there is no reasons not to sell it.
How to Sell Gear
Selling gear is easy! Every merchant you encounter will not only sell you ware but also purchase any gear or inventory you want to offload. This is the case no matter what they primarily sell. You can head into Hogsmeade or the nearby hamlets to quickly unload your extra stuff.
Can I Just Destroy My Gear in Hogwarts Legacy?
There is nothing stopping you from destroying your gear in Hogwarts Legacy. However, there are reasons to do so outside of selling it instead. For obvious reasons, trading it for galleons instead of getting nothing in return is the better option. However, if you are at you gear maximum in the middle of a quest and the option to sell your gear is not available, you might need to destroy something of lesser value if you discover new gear you want to keep.
Ultimately, you want to avoid this outcome. The best way to do that is by cleaning up your gear list before you begin a major quest.
