Assassin's Creed Odyssey Catch and Release

Start the quest at the docks in Octopus Bay on the island of Messara. Look for a woman with the quest indicator. As you approach, she will be screaming for someone to help save her husband. The woman explains her husband went fishing near Anaphi the day before and hasn’t returned. She fears he was grabbed by pirates. If you agree to help, she points you to a spot on the west coast of Anaphi where her husband likes to fish.

“Your wife sent me to look for you” is something you never want to hear. Trust me on this.

The quest market will take you about 1500 meters away and across open water on the Island of Anaphi, so you’ll want to call for your ship at the dock. Head to the marker, but be wary of roaming hostile ships if you are in a hurry. When you arrive you will discover a shipwreck that can only be the husband’s. Head to shore, where the husband and his crew are in a battle with pirates. There are only 3 or 4 pirates, so make quick work of them then speak with the husband. He will confirm he was fishing when the pirates attacked and sunk his ship.

The dialogue in the game says you have to lead him home next, but he’ll get there on his own. Head back to the woman in Octopus Bay and speak with her again to finish the quest. You are given the option of asking for a reward or telling the couple it’s not necessary. There’s no benefit (other than feeling good about yourself) to pass on the reward so you might as well be greedy. The fisherman will pay you in cash as well as with a Swordfish Spear. After the quest is completed, you can always start Blood in the Water, as it originates nearby in Octopus Bay.
