Palworld: Can You Catch Bosses?
Like with many video game questions, the answer to “Can You Catch Bosses in Palworld” is “It Depends.” Not all bosses are created equally. Some are catchable, and others – at least to this point – are not.
You Can Catch “Alpha” Bosses
It is possible for you to catch so-called “Alpha” bosses in the wild. An alpha boss is essentially a stronger version of a Pal you will encounter throughout the game. These bosses are physically larger than their standard versions, and their stats are better. You are able to capture these bosses just like a standard pal, although they will revert somewhat to their standard stats upon capture.

You Cannot Always Catch “Tower Bosses”
Tower bosses are different from Alpha bosses. Instead of roaming the map as little more than powered up versions of standard Pals, Tower bosses are unique to certain locations. Many of these bosses are also not catchable. For example, you currently cannot catch Zoe and Grizzbolt.
Of course, this is still early release. There is a lot more to be added to this game, including the majority of the game’s story. Over time, even all of the Tower Bosses could become available to capture. We’ll update this post as necessary as the game moves along in development!
When do Bosses Respawn?
Unfortunately, you might not be successful in catching every boss you cross paths with. This can be problem if you are on a quest that requires you to snag a specific Pal. The good news is that every boss in the game respawns. It is a good idea to be aware of where you initially encountered these bosses. For Alpha bosses, you will generally see them respawn following a single in-game day. They will return to set spawn points after they are initially defeated.
