Enshrouded Dirt Guide | How to Get It
Getting dirt in a video game should be pretty easy, right? Grab a pickaxe and dig, yes? That’s the gist of it in Enshrouded, but there is a little more you should know about the process. Where you dig is also pretty important, especially as you get into the later areas of the game. Let’s dive into our Enshrouded Dirt Guide for all the info.
How to Get Dirt in Enshrouded
As you might have guessed by now, you get dirt in Enshrouded by digging it up from the ground. This is one of the simplest resources to collect in the entire game, with one small caveat: dirt isn’t available everywhere.
So where do you get dirt? You’ll want to make a pickaxe first. That’s easy enough; just craft one using stones, twigs, and string. Armed with your digging tool, the next step is to pick a spot. You can generally tell where dirt will be available. Digging in the starting areas of the game will provide you with dirt, but digging in the deserts of the Kindlewastes generally gives you sand.
When you dig, the first time you strike the ground will provide you with the most dirt. It is generally better to move to a second spot than keep digging in the same hole. Eventually, the dirt diminishes in the same location and you might even start digging up stones.
What Can I Do With Dirt in Enshrouded?
Dirt is a critical resource for structures and base-building. You’ll also need it – indirectly, at least – for crafting other objects like armor or weapons. After all, many of the items you need to craft will involve dirt in some way. Some of the important recipes that use dirt include the following:
Farm Soil | 7x Dirt 3x Bonemeal | Healthy soil that will increase the growing speed of most plants. |
Crucible | 5x Sand 3x Lump of Clay 3x Dirt | Used in a Smelter to melt ores and create alloys. |
Acid Bite | 2x Poison Sack 2x Ammonia Gland 5x Goo 20x Dirt | Magical ammunition that sprays acid in a cone in front of the caster, poisoning all enemies hit. |
